π’ Step Marking Principles
Applicable to all SA-II, LA, Numerical, and Derivation questions across all boards.

π General Marking Rules
- No negative marking for any question type in CBSE or ICSE worksheets/exams.
- Spelling mistakes in subject-specific terms may lead to deduction at the examiner's discretion (in ICSE).
- Diagrams must be neat and labelled. A messy or unlabelled diagram earns 0 marks even if drawn.
- Internal choice: Only attempt one of the alternatives. If both are attempted, only the first will be marked.
- Unit errors in numerical answers (e.g., writing m instead of cm) may result in 0.5 mark deduction.
- Full marks for equivalent answers: If the meaning is correct but terms differ slightly, award full marks.
- MCQ / Objective: No credit for explanation β only the final selected option is marked.
